Epic Level Fitness

We are a pair of personal trainers and martial artists. Kevin is an NYS Licensed Massage Therapist. Miranda is a Yoga instructor who focuses on mobilization and free movement over traditional Yoga. Overall we believe in bringing instruction to those seeking guidance in getting healthier; Healthier being different for everyone. We offer any or all of these services: advice on eating better, adding in exercise, structuring the exercise you already engage in, learning a new set of skills, or receiving massage to overcome acute and/or nagging injuries.

Why Massage?

Massage is one of, if not our oldest, form of therapy. At Epic Level Fitness we focus on Therapeutic techniques with a clinical application. While we can do relaxation based sessions (Kevin worked at a Spa for the first 3 years of his professional massage career), our heart is truly in the more medical side of things massage can help with: Sciatica, headaches, pinched nerves, chronic low back pain, stiff necks, and so much more.

What is HEMA?

HEMA is Historical European Martial Arts. This martial art is a combination of historical study about the culture and laws surrounding martial arts and applying Mediæval fightbooks from Fencing masters to martial arts athleticism. Our classes go over theory, application, drilling and sparring. We never push sparring, and for those seeking an interesting hobby solely for physical exercise, you can join in and treat classes as Tai Chi with a sword. For others, as long as we’re in safety equipment, and you feel comfortable enough to join the fight, feel free to join sparring on Saturday afternoons from 1-3pm. See Services for a full breakdown of the weapons we practice, and check out our social media profiles to watch some sparring.
